Training Log – Week 10 – Bouldering, Kayaking and Running – oh my!

Monday: 3 hour kayak in Deep Cove
Tuesday: 7.6km run in 26 degree heat*
Wednesday: Ultimate, ave HR125, max HR 177
Thursday: Massage therapy, Ultimate
Friday: Bouldering Course at the Hive Bouldering Gym. I totally looked like this (watch from 7:15 on):
Saturday: Intro to Kayaking course at MEC Paddlefest (exactly what it sounds like, a paddle festival hosted by MEC)
Sunday: 23km LSD run from hell, ave HR 133, Max 166
* Thanks to my friend Jasmine for running in the heat with me – and where were you on Sunday?!

Things that went well this week:

  • Had a lot of fun paddling, bouldering, playing ultimate and being outdoors!
  • On my 23km LSD run from hell, I encountered a hill at 17km and nailed it. Also, I completed the 23km LSD run from hell. Yay me!

Lessons learned for next time:
