Monday: massage therapy, injured back – told not to run until back has recovered
Tuesday: 1 hour elliptical
Wednesday: nothing
Thursday: 45 mins bike ride, 30 min elliptical
Friday: rest day
Saturday: 32km run
Sunday: rest day
Things that went well this week:
- Had injured my back, but rested it up and was still able to run 32km on the weekend
- 32km run was a struggle, but I completed it – it’s now taper time!
- I’ve signed up for a trail running clinic in the fall – I am already thinking past the marathon to my next training phase – learning to trail run!
Lessons Learned for Next Time:
- I set out to run 32km and finished it – quitting never entered my mind. Perhaps I have gotten mentally tougher!
