Training Log Week 19 – Taper Time!

Monday: meditated, 5km run
Tuesday: rest day
Wednesday: 6km run
Thursday: 45 min bike ride
Friday: rest day
Saturday: 16km run
Sunday: meditated, weight training (bench press, squats, assisted chin ups)
* first weight training session in two months…it’s been too long!

Things that went well this week:

  • Did a strength training session at the gym – felt so good to be back
  • Created a great 16km run route on Saturday. Ended at Paul’s Omelettery for a delicious breakfast

Lessons Learned for Next Time:

  • Went on a 4km walk on Sunday. It was such a pleasure to take a walk on a nice day and not feel rushed.

Choklit park in Vancouver is named after chocolate! Things you notice on a walk that you just rush by on a run.
