Week 37

Monday: Trampoline
Tuesday: 1hr 5 min run
Wednesday: rest day
Thursday: strength train – strained left quad 😦
Friday: rest day
Saturday:  1 hr 55 min trail run with Mountain madness
Sunday: 2hr road run

Things that went well:

  • Back up to marathon training – ran 5 hours in week 37.
  • Total elevation gain/loss on runs this week: Gain: 1,164meters Loss: 1,096 meters (benchmark – Antarctica marathon Gain: 616 meters, Loss: 619)

Lessons Learned for Next Time:

  • Wool socks keep your feet toasty while wearing wet trail running shoes.
  • Also, consider purchasing a second pair of trail running shoes to wear when my first pair are still wet.

What a fantastic marathon to train for! I really look forward to hearing about how you get on with this beast of a race. I love the idea of trampolining as cross-training… I wonder if I can do that somewhere around here too, it sounds wicked. Good luck with your training and well done for staying on board!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

See if you can find a circus school in your area – Vancouver is a crazy place, we have not one but two Circus schools where adults can take trampoline lessons.
